Call for Papers
International Symposium "The Good Neighbor Policy in Times of War"

The organizing committee and the scientific board of the International Symposium "The Good Neighbor Policy in Times of War" invite researchers with doctorates completed or in progress to submit proposals for the presentation of research papers in coordinated communication sessions.
In this year marked by the 80th anniversary of the arrival of the Brazilian Expeditionary Force in Italy, the event will offer a broad overview of the results of recent academic research that re-examines the history of Latin America in the context of the Good Neighbor Policy and World War II.
Experts from nine countries and twenty different institutions have already confirmed their participation in round tables and conferences, as well as the coordinated communications sessions that will be organized with the works approved in this call. The presentations will be broadcast in real-time, making it possible for a wider audience in various parts of Brazil and other countries to participate remotely.
The event is a joint initiative of three networks of researchers from various Brazilian and foreign institutions conducting joint research activities and generating specialized publications for several years on the Good Neighbor Policy and the Global History of the Second World War.
